NORTHERN VALLEY 1 DER
Versorium Energy Ltd. is constructing the Northern Valley 1 DER Project, a natural gas-fired electric generation facility located approximately fourteen kilometres southeast of Elk Point, Alberta in the County of Two Hills.
The Project will have a nameplate capacity of 5 MW and is comprised of two 2.5 MW natural gas-fired high efficiency-low emissions industrial engines and electrical switchgear, located within modular buildings.
The Project will connect to ATCO Electric's existing 25 kilovolt (kV) distribution line.
The necessary regulatory approvals are in place for the Project with construction expected to commence in May 2024.
The Project is expected to reach commercial operations in January 2025.
