NETOOK 1 DER
The Netook 1 DER Project is a natural gas-fired electric generation facility located near Olds, Alberta in Mountain View County.
The Project has a nameplate capacity of 5 MW and is comprised of two 2.5 MW natural gas-fired high efficiency-low emission industrial engines and electrical switchgear, housed within modular buildings.
The Project connects to FortisAlberta's existing 25 kilovolt (kV) distribution line.
The necessary regulatory approvals are in place for the Project with phase 1 construction commencing on September 11, 2023.
Phase 1 construction was completed on October 11, 2023 with Phase 2 construction commencing on July 16, 2024.
The Project reached commercial operations on August 15, 2024.
